Joseph's House is a mission founded in prayer, more specifically Mary's Prayer, the prayer of the Rosary. These prayers began in sorrow during hardship and blossomed into a love of Christ through the intercession of His Mother Mary. The Rosary led to prayer in front of Planned Parenthood for the first time on March 19th, 2009. After falling in love with prayer at this spot, an inspiration was given to open a home for the least of God's children, the women who would be left homeless should they choose life for their unborn babies.

Through the mercy, goodness and greatness of God, Joseph's House opened five years later to the day of that first Rosary at Planned Parenthood on March 19, 2014 the Feast of St. Joseph. Following the lead of Our Lord we prayerfully discern the path laid before us daily to give women and children a new way to live their lives. A way that shows them through hard work and faith they can be successful, lead productive lives and break the cycle of despair from which many of them come to us. We are joy-filled to be a part of their triumphs and even their failures, as we help them come to understand the plan God has destined for them. It is not always easy making them understand they are loved, adored and cherished by their Father in Heaven, but seeds are planted at Joseph's House that bear fruit even for those who leave us before they should.

In our short history more than 60 moms and children have called Joseph's House home. Forty-four of those have stayed on to complete their individualized program and more than half of these moms are living productive lives that include work, school, reconciliation with family, and caring for their children.

Joseph's House is 100% privately funded. We take no monies from the government or its' agencies. We are not supported financially by the Diocese of Syracuse or Catholic Charities. We are working daily to raise the dollars needed to sustain this ministry of life and love for years to come and to expand it so we may help more young mothers and children find God's plan for their lives. We invite you to prayerfully consider joining us in changing the lives of mothers and their children two generations at a time.

May God bless you abundantly!
